VTOL Drone for Extended Flight (Final Iteration)

This VTOL drone design was refined through multiple iterations to improve flight performance, control, and overall efficiency. Compared to the earlier version, the current design uses tapered wings for better aerodynamic performance, adds ailerons and an elevator for improved control, and removes unnecessary material to reduce weight. These changes were made to create a more practical and flight-ready airframe while keeping the structure lightweight and functional.

The updated design also includes a three-motor configuration and a rack-and-pinion mechanism that rotates the front two motors from vertical flight to forward flight. This allows the drone to transition between hover and efficient forward flight, which is central to the mission of the aircraft. The current iteration is now in progress of being 3D printed and will be used for further development and flight testing.
